NORTHWESTERN TREE OCTOPUS
The Northwestern Tree Octopus is fake!
Do you think that there are such things as Octopus living on trees? Well I believe that this is all just made up. Apparently people think that there is an octopus that lives on trees! They said that it is called the Pacific Northwestern Tree Octopus. If you go on "http://www.zapatopi.net/treeoctopus/" there will be some fake information and images of the "Northwestern Tree Octopus" This creature is not known as one of the endangered species and it is not included in the endangered species list. It also says that it is very rare and not commonly found.
Are they just saying that because no one has ever seen it? They do not have any evidence of a tree octopus as it is not proven. All of the photos on the Northwestern Tree Octopus Website are not real photos. It is basically an octopus placed on a tree, breathing air which does not any make sense. It says on the official website that it is true and it also says it can only be found in the temperate rain forest of the Olympic peninsula in the west coast of North America. If you go on "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pacific_Northwest_tree_octopus" it will say a completely different thing to the website of the Northwestern Tree Octopus. Also on the website of the tree octopus it says "It is an intelligent being (it has the largest brain ratio for any mollusk), the tree octopus explores its world by both touch and sight" but if that was true, we would see them more often and scientists would have already found them before the website was published. On wikipedia it says The Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus is an internet hoax created in 1998 by a man called Lyle Zapato. This fictional endangered species was given the Latin name "Octopus paxarbolis" (which means, "Pacific tree octopus" in "Dog Latin"). It was said to be able to live both on land and in water and nearby rivers, where its eggs are laid but if that were true, why are they only found in the Olympic peninsula not in the Amazon or anywhere else. There are many places that the tree octopus could be living but it only lives in one place and there seems to be only one type of tree octopuses which does not make any sense because although many creatures are endangered, there are at least 2 different types of the same species such as tigers, dolphins, birds and many more. Overall I think that the Northwestern tree octopus is an fake, internet scam created. If you go on http://zapatopi.net/ there are heaps of fake an weird information that is absolutely not true such as this. "Will spiders inherit our earth?" and many more. Tree octopuses have eyesight comparable to humans. Some people think that the tree Octopus is just an internet hoax but I disagree. The history of the tree octopus is a sad one. Their appetite for bird plumes having exhausted all the worthy species of that family.
